Yvonne P. Doderer is Professor of Gender & Cultural Studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf.
Her work and research focuses on the intersections of gender, culture, urban research and contemporary art.
Doderer has taught at various universities, she was Visiting Research Fellow at NTU Centre for Contemporary Art in Singapore, guest professor at the Visual Arts Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge/USA and Research Fellow at the Maison de Sciences in Paris/France and at the Office for Contemporary Art in Oslo/Norway.
Doderer studied architecture at the Technical University of Stuttgart and received a Doctorate with honors in Politics from the Technical University in Dortmund. TUDortmundUniversity.
She participated in various art exhibitions e.a. Total Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul/South Korea; DOX Center of Contemporary Art Prague/Czech Republic, Forum Stadtpark, Graz/Switzerland, Kunstwerke Berlin/Germany. In addition to exhibitions she is involved in the international art scene through lectures and workshops.
Doderer published 5 monographs as well as various essays and articles in books and art magazines.
Additionally she runs the Office of Transdisciplinary Research & Cultural Production - www.transdisciplinary.net - in Stuttgart/Germany.
Since 2005, Doderer has been a member of the Women’s Research Network (NRW).
