Katarina Poliacikova / INSIDE OUT
Katarina Poliacikova is a Slovak visual artist and writer working across different media: photography, installation, video, artist's book, performance, or text. Her work is often deeply personal or tackles intimacies hidden in larger cultural narratives or institutions. In her lecture, Katarina will speak about different ways in which an artwork can inhabit a space. She'll introduce several of her older and recent projects that demonstrate various approaches to site-specific or site-responsive art. What does it mean when the space not only accommodates artworks but also becomes part of the story/conversation?
